Royal blue silk shantung stole with flocked black linear daisy pattern; Pelerine type; shaped triangle with black silk taffeta linging used as binding; double snap closure. Possibly not designed by Valentina due to different construction techniques. Worn by Valentina. -

Child's light blue and white vertical striped dress; A-line; sleeveless; scoop neckline; center front appliqué of tree with green leaves and brunette child wearing a red dress and holding an apple; 1 button and snap at each shoulder and under each armpit; label reads "Florence Eiseman designed for Marshall Field & Company".
This dress is from Florence Eiseman's "Functional Fashions" line for children with disabilities from the early 1960s. -
WAVES uniform
Navy blue wool WAVES uniform. A. Jacket; set-in sleeves; light blue stripe and star at wrists; padded shoulders; two fake pockets above bustline; four gold buttons at front opening; princess seams at front and back; completely lined; two inside pockets; Mrs. Judge's name stitched in collar; applique' anchor sewn on each lapel. B. Skirt; six gores; welt pockets in front; 1 inch waistband; left side zipper closure with button; not lined. C. Hat; fold-over; anchor insignia patch.
Worn by donor, Jean Judge, during World War II. According to the donor, the skirt pockets are in roughly the same position as the corresponding buttons on sailor pants. The squared-off dress hat was copied after the British seaman's hat of 18th century. The donor's was mildewed and has only the fold-over hat left, which was their Class B hat. They wore white shirts and black ties with suit for dress and navy shirts and light blue ties for work. Optional light blue shirts were available. They were allowed nylons; Navy Nurses had to wear black cotton hose. They wore a protective navy blue wool hat covering, called a havelock, in inclement weather and were not allowed to carry umbrellas or parcels. A black shoulder strap leather bag was worn with this uniform and with summer whites. Heels were no higher than 2 inches and skirt lengths 17 to 18 inches from floor. Gold buttons on jacket were for officers, plain blue plastic for non-commissioned. One blue sleeve stripe indicated lowly Ensign. The men never let them have gold stripes such as theirs. -

Navy blue crocheted wool lace over white tulle afternoon dress; lace pattern of large round flowers with oblong leaves; large oblong shapes at hips; jewel neckline tucked to shape; sleeveless; natural waistline seam; left side zipper closure; mid-calf length. -
Baseball cap
Navy blue jersey modified baseball cap; top-stitched brim; powder blue double bow at center front; elastic strap for hair.

Navy blue silk crepe blouse; round neckline; 2 inch front band with white top-stitching done 1/4 inch apart on diagonal; 3 small buttons on front band; white top-stitching around neckline and sleeve bands; long straight sleeves; 3/8 inch band at bottom of sleeves which buttons. -
Button-on short set
Child's light blue cotton button-on short set; 3 white circles appliqués in vertical line down left chest, light blue airplane embroidered in each circle; white textured Peter Pan collar; 4 buttons and 1 snap at center front; 2 pleats at center front and 1 pleat at center back; short sleeves with white textured cuffs; white piping around collar and cuffs; 5 buttons around lower top for shorts to attach. -
Button-on short set
Child's light blue cotton button-on short set; white, yellow, and red balloon appliqués; Peter Pan collar; double-breasted with 4 buttons and 3 snaps at center front; pleats at center front and one pleat at center back; short sleeves with cuffs; white piping around collar and cuffs; 6 buttons around lower top for shorts to attach; 5 snaps at crotch.
Possibly part of a "brother-sister" set with Object ID #1997.298. -
Cap
Child's pale blue and white striped ribbed cotton cap; turned-up edge; embroidery of cars, helicopters, and trains around edge.

A. Multicolored silk taffeta coat; screen-printed in geometric motifs with large areas of light blue; large green diamond shape at front waist; on chest is floral motif in dark blue within pink purple octagon; jewel neckline; center front opening; long set-in sleeves; below knee length; lined in yellow taffeta. B. Self-fabric belt; 2 hook and bar closures.

Cocktail dress
Pale blue flocked organdy cocktail dress; ground is pale blue with black flocking in floral sprays throughout, diagonal darts for shaping, boned at side seams, normal waist dipping to center back, flare skirt, bias cut, tea length, center back zipper. Most of flocking has detached. Several beige colored stains on skirt. Worn by Valentina.
