Blazer jacket; notched collar with reversed fabric on lower lapel; 2 button center front closure; straight sleeves; 2 double welt pockets with reverse fabric at hipline. B. Straight skirt; high-rise waistline; knee length. C. Vest; reverse fabric from rest of suit; 3 button center front closure. -

Jacket; boxy; mandarin collar; 3 large navy blue buttons down front; two single welt pockets set on angle; long straight set-in sleeves; bands with one button on bottom of sleeves; back gathers into shoulder yoke; unlined. B. Skirt; straight silhouette; raised waistline; side seam zipper closure; knee length. With the slacks (Object ID #1999.276.c) these pieces form a three piece ensemble, though not all three pieces would be worn simultaneously. -

Black silk crepe evening gown; strapless; six white narrow vertical strips applied evenly along gown with white bows at top; strips run down dress below knee, flaring out with six godets; black sequin beading runs completely around white strips; corselet bodice understructure, back hook closures; center back zipper with hook and eye closures. Worn by Hildegarde for the first time in Milwaukee in 1948. -
