In May, 1964, Mount Mary awarded an Honorary Degree to Nelle Harper Lee, Pulitzer Prize winning author of To Kill A Mockingbird. In accepting the honor Ms. Lee traveled to Mount Mary and took part in commencement ceremonies. This exhibit provides a glimpse of Ms. Lee's visit to Milwaukee and some insight into the friendship that resulted between her and Sister Mary John Francis Schuh, President of Mount Mary.
