Taupe silk tulle ensemble. A. Dirndl underdress with spaghetti straps, bodice of crepe backed satin with the crepe side showing. Skirt is gathered tulle over taffeta lining, midcalf length. B. Tulle overdress; surplice wrap front with hook and eye closure, long straight sleeves, gathered skirt is mid-calf length. Worn with cape (Object ID #1995.360.C) to form three piece ensemble. Dress has halter neckline that closes at nape with two hook and clip closures; sleeveless; natural waistline; bodice closes at lower center back with five hook and clip closures; skirt gathered at waist, floor length with extra panel that wraps over back closure and is secured with six snaps. C. Belt has six hook and eye closure at back; sits at natural waist; brown decorative arrow detail at center front. Worn with jacket (Object ID #1995.337.B) to form three piece ensemble.

Possibly had longer sleeves at some point. C. Short bolero jacket; jewel neckline, 3/4 length kimono sleeves, cut in one with body of jacket. French darts, unlined. D. Wrap, single piece of fabric. E. Belt latches in back with hook and eyes and snap closure. Small, flat bow.

Brown linen shift dress; jewel neckline with center front slit, eight button center front lap closure, front and back yoke, dolman sleeves, modified brown plastic buttons, two patch pockets at bust, straight skirt, midcalf length. White topstitching throughout. Worn by Valentina. -
Skirt
Red tartan plaid wool twill A-line skirt; waistband in red, yellow and black. Front of skirt has two box pleats behind which are pockets, skirt closes at center back with a zipper which has been altered at a later date by adding an inset of fabric at the zipper to increase size of the waist and hips, calf length, unlined. -
Suit
White floral matelasse suit. A. Jacket; jewel neckline, ¾ length set-in sleeves, center front opening with three covered buttons, single flap vertical pockets are set into the waist darts, slits at the sides, lined in white silk crepe. B. Skirt; straight waistband with left front closure, pockets set into pleats on the princess line, straight silhouette, ankle length, lined in white china silk. Worn by Valentina. -
Dress
Blue linen day dress; jewel neckline with slit, ¾ length kimono sleeves, center front opening with white buttons to the hem (four buttons are missing), two patch pockets on bust, front and back yoke, knee length, unlined. White topstitching throughout. Marked "V. Schlee" at interior back neckline. Worn by Valentina. -

B. Stole lays across shoulders. Heavy chevron pattern braid in brown and beige holds pleats in back. Self-facings with more braid, unlined. Hand finished. Worn by Valentina. -
Two piece ensemble
Tan wool ensemble. A. Skirt is heavily gathered, wide straight waistband, center back zipper, inverted box pleat at center front with three released tucks on each side, no side seams, slash pockets hidden under the tucks, unlined throughout. One seam at center back, hand finished. B. Stole lays across shoulders. Heavy chevron pattern braid in brown and beige holds pleats in back. Self-facings with more braid, unlined. Hand finished. Worn by Valentina. -
Blouse and skirt
Beige silk georgette blouse and skirt ensemble; beige ground with an all-over brown spatter pattern to imitate stone. A. Tailored blouse; winged collar, center front button closure, sleeveless with bias binding, darts for shaping, double layer of fabric over bust area, unlined. B. Gathered skirt into straight waistband, midcalf length, unlined, hand finished with French seams throughout. Worn by Valentina. -
Two piece evening ensemble
Dark navy blue silk tissue taffeta evening ensemble. A. Wrap-around blouse; V-neck; narrow shawl collar; long Dolman sleeves with unusual seaming; long wrap ties thread through opening in blouse; completely hand finished and over-cast. B. Skirt; stitched-down inverted pleats at center front and back; Triangular shaped back yoke has covered button/loop closure, one button is missing; Hand finished; Unlined; Full evening length. Worn by Valentina.
