White muslin sample strip of various needlework techniques; examples include pleating, hand-made buttons, hand-worked buttonholes, braid stitched on tulle, quilting, lace insertion, tucks, ruffles, and cording.

The School Sisters of Notre Dame had a sewing workshop and produced samples of the type of work that they could do.
