  Gold silk and faille taffeta dress; A-line construction; asymmetrical closure with hip zipper and four bound buttonholes; small stand-up collar; 3/4 length sleeves; fully lined.
  
  Worn with matching hat (Object ID #1967.02). Worn by donor, Mrs. Frances Howard Robb, at the wedding of her son Charles Spittal Robb to Lynda Bird Johnson, the daughter of President Lyndon B. Johnson and Lady Bird Johnson, at the White House, December 9, 1967.
  
  Designed by Sister Aloyse Hessburg, SSND. The buttons were designed and made by Sister Rosemarita Huebner, SSND.

  Gold ring hat; small, flat green grosgrain bow at center front. Worn with dress (Object ID #1967.01).   Geometric print silk blouson dress in brown, white, and navy blue; natural waistline; wide navy blue waistband; jewel neckline with deep shaped yoke; cap sleeves; gathered skirt with navy blue insert down center front; hand-overcast.

• Evening gown

  Pale gray satin evening gown; spaghetti straps covered in bar and round rhinestones; princess seams; high waistline; covered button and loop closure in back; trained A-line skirt, backed in white organza; couture techniques with hand-finishing.

• Evening gown

  Black crepe evening gown; slip style; "Brancusi" inset with black velvet zig-zag down body; left breast covered in velvet; slit at center back skirt; invisible zipper closure at center side.
  
  Designed by the donor, Jan Carter Osterholm, a Mount Mary alumna, while working for Andrea Polizzi.

• Dress

  Gray wool flannel dress; jewel neckline; sleeveless; seam going down center front, forms into box pleat; 2 princess seams that come down into waist and form box pleats, one princess seam starts at shoulder and other starts at middle of front armhole; 3 horizontal seams; one goes through center front seam and is located right under bust, extending from center seam to first princess seams on each side; other horizontal seams are side seams that extend .5 inch from armpits and go to first princess seam closest to side of garment; center back zipper closure that forms into box pleat; 2 back princess seams on either side of zipper, these also form box pleats; knee length. The donor, Sharon Lipinski, constructed this dress in Sister Aloyse Hessburg's Couture class.

• Dress

  Purple double knit dress; oversized funnel collar; plain short sleeves; fitted through torso; insets and style seams front and back; flares out below waist to knee length; center front seam, side seams, and zipper closure at center back seam, with hook and eye closure at neck.
  
  The donor, Lois Perlewitz, constructed this dress in Sister Aloyse Hessburg's Couture class.

• Evening gown

  Burgundy crepe evening gown; straps are lattice-like construction created with grosgrain ribbon and crepe; midriff construction is same as straps; straight skirt with slit at center front; invisible side zipper closure; hook closures at bodice; skirt lined in acetate; bodice lined in self-fabric; ankle length.
  
  Designed by the donor, Jan Carter Osterholm, a Mount Mary alumna, while working for Andrea Polizzi.

• Gown without jacket

  Peacock blue plush knit pile evening ensemble. A. Gown; V-neckline; long bishop sleeves; empire waistline; center front zipper closure; light blue silk crepe bodice, gathers into shoulder yoke; Peacock blue knit pile A-line skirt; floor length.
  
  Worn with jacket (Object ID #2010.11.01.b) to form two piece ensemble.
  
  Note from Sister Aloyse Hessburg: "Blue knit pile fabric by Borg Textile Group, a Wisconsin industry. They challenged the senior class in 1970 to create garments 'for a winter evening' using their fabric. Christee selected this fabric (at that time the most flexible of their line) and used the silk fabric bodice and lining of silk crepe. The fur closure hooks were the only available on short notice. (Industry would have had time to get correct size and color.) In a way - industry and Mount Mary College were promoting the possibility of using Borg Textiles to the Wisconsin public."
