Besides the annual fashion shows and occasional fundraisers, the Mount Mary fashion program has hosted many events to educate students and the community about fashion, to showcase student and local work, and to honor supporters of the fashion program. Materials from a few of these events are shown below.
Wisconsin Creates Fashion program
In June 1983, the "Wisconsin Creates Fashion" show emphasized the importance of fashion and clothing manufacturers in Milwaukee and across Wisconsin. In addition to Mount Mary student work, it highlighted garments from businesses and designers across the state, including Allen D. Everitt Knitting Co.; Allen-Edmonds Shoe Corp.; Eagle Knitting Mills; Florence Eiseman, Inc.; Gillette Industries, Inc.; JH Collectibles; Lakeland Manufacturing Co.; Master Furriers Guild of Wisconsin; Oshkosh B'Gosh, Inc.; Reliable of Milwaukee; and Zwicker Knitting Mills.
Fashion program faculty Sandra Keiser, Sister Aloyse Hessburg, and Elaine Koepsel Zarse coordinated the show. Charles Kleibacker was the commentator.

Announcement of guest speaker William Herrmann from Jockey International
An announcement from February 1988 from the Mount Mary College Fashion Group indicates that William Herrmann, Vice President of Advertising and Sales Promotion of JOCKEY International, was coming to Mount Mary as a guest speaker. He was to speak on "his background, experiences with JOCKEY, and especially his involvement with the JOCKEY-for-Her line." The Mount Mary fashion program was (and remains) committed to showing students many sides of the fashion industry, beyond just design, and guest speakers helped fulfill this goal.
Norman Norell Remembered program
The Mount Mary College Fashion Department collaborated with Steven Stipelman (Fashion Illustrator at Women's Wear Daily) in October 1988 to present "Normal Norell Remembered," an event on deceased fashion designer Norman Norell. The event included a slide presentation by Stipelman and a gala reception and viewing of the Norman Norell exhibit, which consisted of items designed by Norell from what is now known as Mount Mary's Fashion Archive.

Bonnie Cashin: Form Follows Function flyer
In February 1991 the fashion department hosted an event that included a lecture on functional clothing by Susan Watkins, a professor of clothing and textiles at Cornell University. This event also highlighted the works of Bonnie Cashin, a designer of functional clothing, that were held in Mount Mary's Fashion Archive (then known as the Historic Costume Collection). Cashin attended this event as part of her ongoing relationship with Mount Mary College.
Let The Hips Fall Where They Will: Evening Fashion From The 1920's program
The program to the left is undated but likely from the late 1980s or early to mid-1990s. The event was titled "Let The Hips Fall Where They Will: Evening Fashion From The 1920's" and the program describes the numerous outfits that were part of this exhibit. The majority of the garments came from Mount Mary's Fashion Archive.
