  • Black machine-made cotton lace blouse; strapless; hook and eye closures on left side; back is about 6 cm longer than front; lined in nylon tricot.
  • Black silk crepe evening gown; strapless; six white narrow vertical strips applied evenly along gown with white bows at top; strips run down dress below knee, flaring out with six godets; black sequin beading runs completely around white strips; corselet bodice understructure, back hook closures; center back zipper with hook and eye closures. Worn by Hildegarde for the first time in Milwaukee in 1948.
