Save America's Treasures Grant Project

Save America's Treasures logo.jpg
In 2025, Mount Mary University was awarded a Save America's Treasures grant from the National Park Service. The main objectives of this two-year grant include hiring a conservator to conduct a preservation assessment of the physical collection, digitizing hundreds of items for the Digital Fashion Archive, deaccessioning items from the physical collection, and connecting with the community through Hidden Treasures talks.
When work is completed in 2027, we will publish a list of the collections digitized through the support of this grant. Currently the list includes Oscar de la Renta, Marimekko, and Donald Brooks, but work is ongoing and new items are being digitized and added to the Digital Fashion Archive regularly.
