  • Black silk chiffon evening dress; one layer of cocoa brown and three layers of shell pink under dress; small straps; one layer of bias cut black chiffon bound in bias binding; attached long bias cut scarf; short length. Custom made exclusively for Hildegarde.
  • Gold lamé evening gown; slim silhouette; one-shoulder with one tiny strap that holds left side in place; draped bodice; draped skirt with inserts of complementary teal blue silk chiffon; attached hip corsage of gold lamé and teal blue silk chiffon boned petals; back zipper closure; full evening length. Custom made for Hildegarde in New York City.
  • A. Green, bronze, and black plaid silk satin evening gown; tight-fitting bodice of green and black plaid; off-the-shoulder sleeves attached to bodice with fabric strips, stitched at upper arm, then released into fullness and stitched again at sleeve hems; voluminous skirt; pleated 1.5 inches from waistline, released into deep pleat effect; back zipper closure. Label: "Bruyere Paris Place Vendome". B. Black patent leather belt; four inches wide. Performance gown worn by Hildegarde.
  • Aubergine four-ply silk crepe evening gown; high exaggerated mandarin collar; one set-in sleeve, one batwing sleeve; draped from right shoulder; asymmetric bias cut; slim silhouette; deep released pleat on left side; asymmetric zipper closure on grain which creates drapery; yellow metal and purple glass antique brooch near throat; long. Custom made as a performance gown exclusively for Hildegarde.
  • Slip style; low V-neckline; beige spaghetti straps; two layers printed silk chiffon and three layers plain white silk chiffon; floor length. Worn with poncho (Object ID #2002.84.08.B) and scarf (Object ID #2002.84.08.C) to form three piece ensemble. Custom made for Hildegarde as a performance gown.
  • Gold lamé evening gown; long, slim silhouette; bias cut; backless; halter; V-neckline; self-fabric sash hooks around waist; train. Garment is in poor condition. Hildegarde's first Paris gown.

  • Royal blue wool evening gown; small cowl collar; sleeveless; hand-picked zipper closure; straight skirt hanging from yoke bodice; long slit asymmetrically placed in skirt front. Worn with matching cape (Object ID #1982.304.B) to form two piece evening ensemble. Performance ensemble worn by Hildegarde.

  • White and blue printed silk crepe evening gown; large stylized chrysanthemum print; slim silhouette; cap sleeves; broad shoulders; cut-out section in bodice, held together by beige marquisette; draped skirt with slit; silk at shoulders has been repaired and lined. Custom made for Hildegarde and used as a performance gown in the Persian Room of the Plaza Hotel, New York City.
  • Magenta rayon matte jersey evening gown; low neckline and back; spaghetti straps; two layers of shorter jersey on the right side with undulating hemline; asymmetric cut. Worn with evening coat (Object ID #2002.84.16.B) to form two piece evening ensemble. Worn by Hildegarde.
  • Lavender under burgundy silk chiffon evening gown; bias cut; beige spaghetti straps. Worn with poncho (Object ID #2002.84.15.B) and scarf (Object ID #2002.84.15.C) to form three piece evening ensemble. Worn by Hildegarde.
  • Pale gray satin evening gown; spaghetti straps covered in bar and round rhinestones; princess seams; high waistline; covered button and loop closure in back; trained A-line skirt, backed in white organza; couture techniques with hand-finishing.

    Created by Kelly Frohrib in Sister Aloyse Hessburg's couture class, but never picked up.
  • Black crepe evening gown; slip style; "Brancusi" inset with black velvet zig-zag down body; left breast covered in velvet; slit at center back skirt; invisible zipper closure at center side.

  • Burgundy crepe evening gown; straps are lattice-like construction created with grosgrain ribbon and crepe; midriff construction is same as straps; straight skirt with slit at center front; invisible side zipper closure; hook closures at bodice; skirt lined in acetate; bodice lined in self-fabric; ankle length.
