From donor's maternal great grandmother, Mrs. Wayne Sawyer, who was part of the Crafts family from Vermont. Shawl was manufactured in Paisley, Scotland and imported by Lewis Jones, importer of fine shawls. First owner of the shawl was Mrs. Chapman Crafts.

Skirt without blouse
B. Red linen weave rayon skirt with floral and block print cotton apron; narrow apron is oval shaped; bright yellow geometric stitched hip panels; stitched-down loose panel in back reveals cotton printed and stitched panels; red waistband.
Worn with blouse (Object ID #2004.03.09.a) to form two piece ensemble.
