A. Black lace gown; camisole bodice; fitted skirt; bands of pleated chiffon trimmed with 1/2 inch pink grosgrain ribbons running from side bodice down back across hem and up other side. B. Black slip, likely of silk or rayon; white straps have been sewn on at a later date mimicking the straps of the evening gown.

Khaki and orange wool twill suit. A. Jacket; semi-fitted; upper collar is khaki, wool epaulets are orange; epaulets have silver buttons and bound buttonholes; six silver buttons down front with bound buttonholes; set-in long sleeves; 1.5 inch wide self-fabric belt with leather backing; four keepers and squared silver ball and bar buckle; lined in orange china silk. B. Skirt; A-line; straight waistband; softly gathered panels; front panel of khaki; slit open almost to waistband at center front, creating the look of a center pleat; hand-overcast center back zipper; underskirt has khaki wool front and khaki silk taffeta back; knee length.

Silver lamé evening gown; plunging V-neckline; heavily padded shoulders; batwing sleeves, zippers at wrists; three open-ended darts at bustline; empire waistline with red beaded lace over cream netting, same trim on lower sleeves; center back zipper closure; inverted box pleat from waistline down; skirt slit below knee; rounded off hemline; front skirt has short overskirt with rounded edge; back skirt has godet at center back for flare, forming a train. Performance gown worn by Hildegarde. -

Custom made for Hildegarde and used as a performance gown in the Persian Room of the Plaza Hotel, New York City. -

A letter from Robert C. Landsiedel, Associate Director of Alumni Affairs at Drexel Institute of Technology (where Sister Aloyse earned her master's degree in textiles) to Sister Aloyse Hessburg of Mount Mary College (Milwaukee, Wisconsin). Mr. Landsiedel extends congratulations to Sister Aloyse on her design of Mrs. James [Frances Howard] Robb's mother-of-the-groom dress for the wedding of her son Charles to Lynda Bird Johnson, daughter of President Lyndon B. Johnson, at the White House on December 9, 1967. He also asks for a photograph and a brief biography to use when mentioning her achievement in the spring 1968 alumni newsletter. -

White and black printed silk gazar dress; pattern of white ground printed with black balls 2 ½ inches in diameter connected by thin bars, narrow straps at front, deep v-neckline, spaghetti straps in back, additional tie extending from bust, midriff yoke decorated with five medallions of beads at front, skirt has stitched down pleats at the waist, two rows of fabric near hem stitched on intermittently, center back zipper, knee length, lined in white china silk. Worn with matching jacket (Object ID #2013.04.20.B). This item is from Christian LaCroix Spring 2007 Ready-to-Wear collection.
