Printed chiffon sheath dress with standing collar, back zipper closure, and long set-in sleeves. Red silk lining, size 12. -
Evening Gown
Black wool jersey evening gown; various size brass domes applied to hem and sleeve wrists; jewel collar; dirndl styling; long sleeves; floor length. Worn by Hildegarde. This item was created by Hubert de Givenchy for Nouvelle Boutique. -
Dress
Black and white wool dress; black wool body with white silk insets at collar and cuffs; white notched collar sewn under black V-neckline; "V" is heavily embellished with gold beading, chain, and rhinestones; back shoulder darts; waistline seam falls at natural waist; center back zipper closure; black belt at waist with hook closures in back, attached to gold V at buckle; belt buckle is heavily embellished with gold beading, chain, and clear rinestones as well as tiny pearls; set-in sleeves ending 3.5 inches above wrists, heavily embellished with gold beading, chain, and rinestones; 3.5 inch white silk cuffs that open to outside are attached to black portion of sleeves from the inside; gathered skirt has inseam pockets on both side seams at hips; fully lined.

Jacqueline de Ribes evening gown
One shoulder purple velvet and taffeta gown; shoulder strap on left, built-in corset of black mesh, taffeta over-drape covering the bust and creating a large skirt to the right side, taffeta drape lined in clear polyester mesh to stiffen, left side zipper, bow on shoulder and on right side of skirt at the hip, ankle length. Line across the skirt where it probably draped across a hanger. -

Black chiffon evening gown; sweetheart neckline; lace bodice with pink underneath; padded puff sleeves; padded bustline; full skirt; side zipper closure; stiff along hemline; crepe underskirt is weighted. Purchased 2/29/1940. Worn by Hildegarde. This gown was custom-made for Hildegarde at Bergdorf-Goodman -
Picture hat
Black velvet picture hat; soft crown; large brim down on right front, up on left front; silk taffeta ribbon overlapped on brim; large ostrich plume across brim; label inside: "delle Donne -Paris -New York", covered by the label "Walker, Hotel Astor, Milwaukee".
Worn by a member of the Kohler family. -
