  • Black cotton piqué evening with black seed beading at hips; bias cut; one shoulder strap; side zipper closure; sleeveless; very fitted through hip, diagonal beaded hip panel; diagonal seams; full flared skirt; skirt has black organza petticoat and brown taffeta lining; mid-calf length.

    This dress was made when Charles Kleibacker was designing for Nettie Rosenstein, but was never put into production. Charles said Nettie told him that this would be too difficult to fit for ready-to-wear.
  • Yellow, navy blue, orange, and white plaid wool evening gown; hung on the bias; apron front with self-fabric neck strap; self belt attached on sides only; bodice has waist darts and is lined in muslin; center back metal zipper closure; asymmetrical train; skirt lined in navy blue satin.
  • Aqua ombré silk chiffon evening gown; unfinished; gathered neckline edged in chiffon; long kimono sleeves with gussets; center front opening; ankle length.
  • Seafoam green silk crepe evening gown; slip style; spaghetti straps; A-line skirt; side back hand-picked zipper; very low back; unlined except for bodice; train; some stains.

    This gown was used by Sister Aloyse Hessburg and Charles Kleibacker for their couture class.
  • Black lace evening gown; square neckline; large 3/4 length silk taffeta puff sleeves; side zipper closure; columnar silhouette to ankle; backed in black silk organza.

  • Dark midnight blue pleated polyester evening gown; deep v-neckline; shoulder pads; long narrow sleeves; midriff ornamented in tiny orange, gold, magenta, and purple sequins with gold beads and threads; motifs are Indian or Javanese inspired; side zipper closure; bodice lined in midnight blue charmeuse; ankle length.

  • Fuchsia crinkled silk evening gown; strapless; bodice fabric crinkled horizontally, skirt crinkled vertically; back bodice has 2 large bows with space between; side zipper closure; lined in fuchsia satin.
  • Metallic dark blue silk brocade evening gown; gold, silver, and red metallic border print at top of bodice and hemline; gold and silver circles throughout; A-line silhouette; jewel neckline; long set-in sleeves; slit to knee on right side.
  • Navy blue silk charmeuse evening gown; high banded neckline, fits tight to throat; sleeveless; low-cut armscyes front and back; empire waistline; 1 inch band and tie at waist, trimmed with silver ring; floor length. Originally worn with a matching scarf which is missing.
  • White fully beaded evening gown; silver shoulder yoke; sleeveless; lined in ivory silk satin.
  • Black double crepe evening gown; slip style; A-line silhouette; front facing turned back to become lower part of notched collar; black satin straps; edges of front are black satin; six black buttons down front with long opening; backed in black silk chiffon; ankle length.

  • Navy blue jersey and satin evening gown; fit and flare; mock turtleneck; long straight sleeves; jersey bodice; satin stripe skirt overprinted with roses; center back zipper closure; wrap-around skirt; accordion pleated ruffle down left side front opening and on bottom; navy blue satin attached ribbon belt with fabric rose at left side front; full length.
  • Black and ivory plisse evening gown; fit and flare; v-shaped neckline; bishop sleeves, cut on the bias, elastic cuff; natural waistline; center back zipper closure; bodice cut on the bias; gathered skirt; full length; missing belt. Bill Blass for Maurice Rentner.

  • Black and white silk evening gown; V-neckline at front and back; heavily pleated throughout; shoulder pads; long sleeves, one black and one white; no cuffs; torso is both black and white; dropped asymmetrical waistline; black skirt; full length; left side zipper closure.

    Worn by donor, Bobbe Fine, to the Mt. Sinai Gala held at the Ambassador East Hotel in Chicago, Illinois in 1980. Mrs. Fine served as co-chair. The gala's theme was Le Bal des Papillons. Gown was purchased at Kanes in the Ambassador East Hotel.
