Black silk shawl with large scale floral design; hand-painted design of 4 pink roses, one in each corner of shawl; they have magenta details and shading on petals and 4 leaves extending outwards; the leaves are long and bright green with a split turquoise and orange center; the design is almost cartoonish; turquoise border around entire shawl; along edge is black diamond double knot fringe, 16 inches long.

This shawl belonged to the donor's mother, Leona Fournier Bossort. She wore it as an evening wrap for formal dinner parties and festive occasions in the early 1900s.

A. Black sheer crepe blouse with blue and white floral print; long straight sleeves with cuffs; button closure on cuffs; center front button closure hidden by placket; attached tie at neck. B. Blue wool wrap skirt; abstract shape appliqués on center front made of crepe blouse fabric, black and white checked fabric, and abstract floral print in black, orange, pink, and purple; appliqués bordered by olive green leather trim with pinked edges; two interior hook and bar closures. -

Multicolored printed wool challis blouse of various fabrics; primary fabric is gray, white, purple, green, gold, and dark red floral print; jewel neckline with tie closure; raglan sleeves gathered at wrists; hip length; seams covered with black printed with white and red triangles. B. Multicolored printed wool challis skirt of various fabrics; primary fabric is black with blue and pink floral print and band of yellow at top; hip yoke is gray, white, purple, green, gold, and dark red floral print; straight waistband; gathered at hip; mid-calf length. -

B. Red linen weave rayon skirt with floral and block print cotton apron; narrow apron is oval shaped; bright yellow geometric stitched hip panels; stitched-down loose panel in back reveals cotton printed and stitched panels; red waistband.
