This shawl belonged to the donor's mother, Leona Fournier Bossort. She wore it as an evening wrap for formal dinner parties and festive occasions in the early 1900s.

Tan fabric purse; salmon-colored lining; round shape; aqua, dark blue, and rococo (possibly with tarnished silver) thread embroidery; gold frame and chain handle. 5 1/2 inches wide x 6 inches high / 14mm x 15.3mm. Contains a fold-open mirror wrapped in a snapped cover (same fabric as lining); 6 inches x 2 3/4 inches / 15.3 mm x 7mm when open.
