  • White floral silk twill dress; printed with orange poppies with green and brown leaves; V-neckline with bias banding; narrow straps in front; empire waist; tucks on skirt at waistline; slim straight skirt; hook and eye closures at center back; zipper has possibly been removed; mid-calf length.

    Worn with slip (Object ID #2004.03.398.B) and cape (Object ID #2004.03.398.C) to form three piece ensemble.

  • Yellow and white floral silk chiffon dinner dress; "U" neckline in front, plunges deeper in back; hanging sleeves in back that become bell sleeves at shoulder; attached straight beige slip underneath, attached at waist; sleeveless slip with lingerie straps; concealed back zipper, hook and eyes, and snap closures; flared skirt; knee length.
  • B. Underdress; dark red and black striped wool straight skirt; attached to black silk bodice; sleeveless; nineteen inch long black zipper closure; attached petticoat.
  • Slightly fitted jacket; stand-away shaped mandarin collar; attached flat collar underneath; set-in three quarter sleeves; graduated-size bound buttonholes down front; top three buttons in metal with a mock royal British seal, two ruby colored stones in crown, a Latin inscription, and "This is an Irene" below insignia.
