Jacket; boxy; mandarin collar; 3 large navy blue buttons down front; two single welt pockets set on angle; long straight set-in sleeves; bands with one button on bottom of sleeves; back gathers into shoulder yoke; unlined. C. Slacks; raised waistline; tapered legs. With the skirt (Object ID #1999.276.b) these pieces form a three piece ensemble, though not all three pieces would be worn simultaneously.

  Red silk charmeuse sheath evening gown; embellished in geometric woven designs in white and dark red and black and white bugle beads, Appliques of red and black velvet, jewel neckline, sleeveless, darts at waist, slight train at center back, center back zipper, ankle length, lined. From the Bill Blass Fall Ready-to-Wear line (for the fashion house Bill Blass Limited), designed by Swedish designer Lars Nilsson. This gown was the finale outfit of the runway show.
