Printed cotton piqué ensemble; A. Jacket; fabric is large-scale floral bouquets of red and yellow flowers with green sprays on a black ground; abstract watercolor effect; motif woven on a waffle ground; sleeves of jacket have design of red and yellow dots; high points at neckline front; six covered buttons and loops over the waist; fitted at the front and back waist with three darts on each side; 3/4 length leg-o-mutton sleeves; lined in black china silk. B. Skirt; design of red and yellow dots; straight skirt; straight waistband; knee length; lined. C. Hair comb; deep pink ostrich feather and orange fabric flower attached to plastic comb. -
Coat
Camel colored double breasted coat; camel hair; notched collar; patch pockets with flap; back vent; belted on back with two button closure; one button on each cuff; hand-topstitching. Red speck on front. -
Dress
Brown gray wool crepe dress decorated with beads; scoop neckline; sleeveless; fitted through darts; straight skirt; knee length; center back zipper; beading is clear bugle beads creating outlines of irregular circles scattered throughout the dress. -
Coat
Light green heathered felt coat; shawl collar; openings at center front shoulder; five large center front buttons; four tucks on front at each shoulder; inset pockets at waist; one piece set-in sleeves; fout tucks in back at each shoulder; two seam lines at center back on collar and coat; ankle length. -
Coat
Mauve wool A-line coat; cuffs and collar have five rows of decorative stitching; standing collar attached at front and back; open on side of neckline; raglan sleeves; diagonal welt pockets; four large metal buttons; olive green lining. -

Tan wool double cloth coat; notched collar; long raglan sleeves with turned-back cuffs; double-breasted, 4 square yellow metal buttons with reptile skin detail, one button is missing reptile skin; slash pockets with flaps; seam from under arm to front pocket; A-line silhouette; lined in white wool flannel; knee length; two stains on lower right collar.

Black tulle ensemble. A. Striped black tulle blouse; tulle has alternating thick and thin velvet stripe, bias cut with asymmetrical hem, sleeveless, hip length, unlined. B. Black silk ottoman evening coat; Mandarin collar, darts at neck front, hook closure at neck, sleeveless, back has modified princess seams, ankle length, unlined. C. Striped black tulle skirt; bias cut, below knee length, side zipper closure, unlined. -

Red velvet bolero
Dark red evening bolero jacket with scoop neckline; deeply plunging at center front. Two hook and eye closures at overlapped center front waist. Dolman sleeves with invisible piecing at cuff for a tight fit. Unlined, completely hand-overcast and finished. Worn by Valentina.

Black silk velvet evening bolero; V-shaped plunging neckline, one hook and eye closure at center front. Shaped hemline rises higher at center front, dipping at center back. Long Dolman sleeves with unusual pattern forming a gusset-like underarm seam. Unlined. Completely hand-finished with overcast seam. Worn by Valentina. -
Evening bolero
Black silk faille evening bolero jacket; jewel neckline, shaped hemline in front. Cut on the bias. Bias cut straight long sleeves. Unlined, seams are all hand overcast. Worn over evening gown (Object ID #1995.347). Worn by Valentina. -

Black silk faille strapless evening gown; Natural waist; horizontal and vertical seaming, darts and boning in bodice; two turned back triangular pieces above bust have hand-appliquéd velvet leaves; Full length, flared skirt has pockets in seams at side center front. Completely hand-overcast and finished. Worn with evening bolero (Object ID #1995.335). -

Evening cape
Black panne velvet evening cape; jewel neckline, one hook and eye closure at the neck, center back seam, shaping through the shoulders, midcalf length, unlined, unfinished. Seams turned in and double overcast by hand. Large tear near right shoulder, opening near hem on one side has been widened. Worn by Valentina.
