Fashion illustration of a woman in a dress length coat. Black and white pencil on paper. On the side reads, “Life is too short and winter’s too long to go without a mink.” The year is listed as 1976 and the artist is M. Fulop. Near the signature it reads "Jan. 1973", indicating this is the actual year.
Mary Fulop Nowakowski was a Fashion Design major, Class of 1974. She later served as the Curator of the Historic Costume Collection (now Fashion Archive) at Mount Mary College. -

Ivory wool theater coat; shawl collar; two large button and loop closures at center front; long sleeves, gathered at shoulders; lace and soutache trim at sleeve hems; soutache trim on collar and along princess seams at front and back; satin lining; mid-calf length. This suit is an exact reproduction of a 1908 theater suit in the collection of the Wisconsin State Historical Society. Dress
Ivory wool dress; sweetheart neckline; ivory tulle illusion panel with lace detailing covers bosom to standing collar; similar illusion panel at back; center back hook and eye closures; short wool sleeves, gathered at shoulders; long tulle undersleeves with lace detailing; full length skirt; soutache braid trim all over bodice and down center front and back of skirt; slightly trained; cotton lining.
