  Tan unbalanced plain weave suit with horizontal black stripe of fine silk and wool mixture. A. Jacket; funnel collar; short set-in sleeves; front opening with six covered buttons and bound buttonholes; set-in strip of fabric with vertical stripes on chest and hips; flap of fake pocket on chest left and hip right. B. Straight skirt; straight waistband; side metal zipper closure; inset of vertical striped fabric at knee; mid-calf length.

Jacket; standing collar edged with tan suede; two tie closures in suede; bottom of jacket is sewn up; long sleeves have square sleeve caps; gores in jacket create A-line shape; all edges finished with brown suede. B. Skirt; gathered front; side zipper closure; knee length.

Skirt is heavily gathered, wide straight waistband, center back zipper, inverted box pleat at center front with three released tucks on each side, no side seams, slash pockets hidden under the tucks, unlined throughout. One seam at center back, hand finished. B. Stole lays across shoulders. Heavy chevron pattern braid in brown and beige holds pleats in back. Self-facings with more braid, unlined. Hand finished. Worn by Valentina.
