Form on back indicates that this design was submitted to the International Ladies' Garment Workers' Union (ILGWU) "America's Next Great Designer Awards".

    The School Sisters of Notre Dame had a sewing workshop and produced samples of the type of work that they could do. This particular sample demonstrated techniques used for christening gowns and other things.

    This artwork was featured in the 1990 Fashion Show Program, "Zeitgeist, spirit of the times...". June Kohlman, Laura Jette, Mary Menheer, Chris Purivs, and Cindy Koprowski were Mount Mary Fashion Design students, but it is unknown whether they graduated from the program. According to the program, the artist is likely Lih Shyu, who was a Fashion Design major, Class of 1993.
