Shawl
Pink silk shawl; floral embroidery in pink, purple, and yellow; 24 inch long macrame fringe; 63 inches by 60 inches.
This shawl belonged to the donor's mother, Leona Fournier Bossort. She wore it as an evening wrap for formal dinner parties and festive occasions in the early 1900s.
The first image shows the front and the second image the back. The third image is a note associated with the shawl. -

Dark purple leather pumps; cut-outs trimmed with copper colored steel beads; pointed toes; Louis heels; marked "Pogue's, Cincinnati" on insoles.

Pince-nez eyeglasses; stored folded together with ability to spring open into traditional eyeglass shape; no arms to secure behind ears; long silver chain attached to right lens; Art Deco style design etched into frame. B. Small round black leather pince-nez case; lined in beige kid leather; opening at top to slide pince-nez into.

Glass pince-nez eyeglasses; no frames; gold metal hardware; retractable cord attached to round metal fob; several spots on lenses; fob marked "Ketchum & McDougall New York"; pince-nez marked "Hardy". B. Brown leather eyeglasses case; opens vertically; marked on inside in gold letters: "Dr. Ralph P. Sproule, 922 Bankers Bldg., Milwaukee, Wis."; lined with black felt.

Black velvet picture hat; soft crown; large brim down on right front, up on left front; silk taffeta ribbon overlapped on brim; large ostrich plume across brim; label inside: "delle Donne -Paris -New York", covered by the label "Walker, Hotel Astor, Milwaukee".
