D. Gold rope belt crocheted around two lengths of gold and white fabric-covered cord. Part of a larger ensemble with skirt (Object ID #2009.11.48.b), blouse (Object ID #2009.11.48.c), and belt (Object ID #2009.11.48.e).

  • Brown, silver, and gold metallic floral brocade coat; princess line in front; inset slash pockets; sable fur trim down center front, at cuffs and mandarin style collar, and at bottom of coat; hook closures; attached self-fabric belt.
  • White and silver abstract print turban; fabric pleated over buckram cap, fabric bun in back; lined in black taffeta. Worn by donor's mother, Jeanne Schmidt.
  • Silver large-brimmed picture hat; stripes of pink, silver, coral, and mustard on crown; silver braid hat band with knot.
