Shawl
Off-white silk crepe shawl; satin stitch embroidery around edges and large section in one corner; multicolored embroidery of variety of flowers and leaves; large bouquet in corner consists of blue mum, peony, and pink rose with green leaves, purple flowers, and rose buds; 19 inch long fringe around all edges; ten rows of knots where fringe is connected by hand to shawl; 57.5 inches by 64.5 inches.

Pink and purple ombré shawl of silk chiffon with velvet details; floral print in voided velvet; shawl is dyed in interesting way, with orange, yellow, pink, purple, and blue clouded together; 14 inch long fringe trim made from mixed multicolor thread.

Shawl
Pink silk shawl; floral embroidery in pink, purple, and yellow; 24 inch long macrame fringe; 63 inches by 60 inches.
This shawl belonged to the donor's mother, Leona Fournier Bossort. She wore it as an evening wrap for formal dinner parties and festive occasions in the early 1900s.

Multicolored silk georgette blouse; many different fabrics, primarily black printed with flakes of pale yellow, pink, pale lavender, and pale aqua; standing collar edged in black lace; black front tie with metallic gold stripes; long set-in sleeves button at wrists; seams covered with metallic gold striped fabric; upper part of sleeves is abstract print of stripes and curves in many colors; black fabric yoke with polka dots at back, yoke has ruffle edged in black lace; gathered at waist. B. Multicolored silk georgette pants; many different fabrics, primarily black printed with flakes of pale yellow, pink, pale lavender, and pale aqua; gathered at waist; slim to ankle. -

Multicolored floral print challis dress; main print is black ground with white, sage green, and purple small flowers; black tie at neck with white dots; burgundy and lavender floral print lawn sleeves, long and full shape; upside-down U-shaped appliqué edged with mustard yellow seam binding tape at skirt front; long skirt has 2 rows of ruffles; top ruffle edged in black lace, bottom ruffle edged in white lace; no waist definition; no label. -
Dress without coat and belt
A. Multicolored day dress; wool knit solid black bodice; wool twill skirt with multicolored large scale nature print; image of large flowers in pink, coral, and orange with black centers, light and dark green leaves, yellow and light purple butterflies, and black and white birds with orange wings, all on a dark purple ground; skirt has 1.25 inch wide black cord piping trim down the side seams and around hem; bodice has long sleeves, bust darts, and 1.75 inch wide turtleneck; sleeves have 4 inch long vertical zipper closures on inner cuffs; center back has 22 inch zipper closure, which begins below turtleneck.
Worn with coat (Object ID #2025.02.08.b) and belt (Object ID #2025.02.08.c) to form three piece ensemble.

A. Multicolored day dress; wool knit solid black bodice; wool twill skirt with multicolored large scale nature print; image of large flowers in pink, coral, and orange with black centers, light and dark green leaves, yellow and light purple butterflies, and black and white birds with orange wings, all on a dark purple ground; skirt has 1.25 inch wide black cord piping trim down the side seams and around hem; bodice has long sleeves, bust darts, and 1.75 inch wide turtleneck; sleeves have 4 inch long vertical zipper closures on inner cuffs; center back has 22 inch zipper closure, which begins below turtleneck. B. Wool twill coat in matching fabric; long sleeves with 1.25 inch wide black cord piping trim at cuffs; matching trim goes around hem, shoulder seams, collar seam, and down center front opening; 1.75 inch wide mandarin collar; 6 black cloth covered button closure that are hidden when coat is closed; center back and armhole princess seams; label reads: "Donald Brooks". C. Wool twill and leather belt; 2 inches wide; wool twill is matching fabric to dress and coat; tan leather back; exaggerated square buckle covered in self-fabric; 3 holes.
