Ivory organza blouse; worn backwards to fill in "V" of overdress; ruffled neckline and sleeve cuffs; snap and hook and eye closures. Ensemble was worn with cape (Object ID #1983.212).
Worn by Lynn Fontanne. Made by Lynn Fontanne using a Jacques Griffe Vogue pattern, which she reworked to give the overdress a deep V back. The ensemble was originally worn with a white ruffled dickey. Donor was the niece of Lynn Fontanne and Alfred Lunt -
