Mustard yellow, gray, and white abstract warp print silk taffeta ensemble. A. Cocktail dress; halter neckline; standing collar; sleeveless with cut-back armhole; fitted bodice with bust and waist darts; covered button closure at back neck; back of bodice is cut-out to 2 inches above waistline seam; flared skirt; short length; couture techniques.
Worn with belt (Object ID #2012.07.01.b).
Created by the designer, Karen Claffey, during her junior year at Mount Mary College in 1969. -

White curly lambswool cape; stand-up collar; fully lined with tie-dyed silk satin; skin is detaching from lining; several small tears throughout.
Designed by Cindy Gefke, member of Mount Mary's first Fashion design graduating class in 1969. The coat was purchased by Judy Klemensrud of the New York Times, who gave it to her friend, donor Aileen Ryan. -

This blouse was used by Sister Aloyse Hessburg and Charles Kleibacker for their couture class. -

Navy blue silk crepe dress with white stripes; jewel neckline; bodice cut on the bias; bodice has navy lining; white domed button closures up center back; seam at natural waistline; long set-in sleeves with shoulder pads; three buttons at back sleeve cuffs; pleated skirt; mid-calf length; double folded hem at bottom.
Worn with belt (Object ID #2008.09.53.b). Belt is removed here to make the pleating visible.

Long off-white silk organdy evening gown with floral embroidery in shades of yellow-gold, bronze, and off-white. Empire style folded yellow-gold silk taffeta attached belt, ending in long and wide shaped floats at top of center back zipper; floats can be worn as train or tied as sash. -

Child's blue pinstriped cotton dress; A-line; sleeveless; scoop neckline; white bands around neckline and armholes; 2 white and yellow daisy appliques at right shoulder, 1 at left, and 2 slightly left of center front; 2 snaps at shoulder; zipper closure at front left, snap below zipper; attached half belt in back with one button closure.
This dress has features similar to Florence Eiseman's "Functional Fashions" line for children with disabilities from the early 1960s. It is unknown if this dress was officially part of that line or merely uses similar design elements. -
