Fiorello La Guardia and Gilbert Adrian during Coty American Fashion Critics Awards
Mayor Fiorello La Guardia of New York City presents Adrian with a bronze trophy designed by Malvina Hoffman. As the first place winner of the 1944 Coty American Fashion Critics Award, Adrian received the trophy and $1000 in war bonds. The presentation occurred at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel. -
