Ivory wool theater coat; shawl collar; two large button and loop closures at center front; long sleeves, gathered at shoulders; lace and soutache trim at sleeve hems; soutache trim on collar and along princess seams at front and back; satin lining; mid-calf length. This suit is an exact reproduction of a 1908 theater suit in the collection of the Wisconsin State Historical Society. Dress
Ivory wool dress; sweetheart neckline; ivory tulle illusion panel with lace detailing covers bosom to standing collar; similar illusion panel at back; center back hook and eye closures; short wool sleeves, gathered at shoulders; long tulle undersleeves with lace detailing; full length skirt; soutache braid trim all over bodice and down center front and back of skirt; slightly trained; cotton lining. Needlework sample panel
White muslin sample strip of various needlework techniques; examples include pleating, hand-made buttons, hand-worked buttonholes, braid stitched on tulle, quilting, lace insertion, tucks, ruffles, and cording.
