  • Dark red four ply silk crepe evening gown; columnar silhouette; bateau neckline; thin straps; knot bow at back; bias cut in back; two bound buttonholes worked on the grain; floor length. Bill Blass for Maurice Rentner.

    The lower part of the gown has water stains on it.
  • Pale gray silk satin and wool jersey hostess gown; roll collar; bodice and long sleeves of heathered wool jersey; rolled back satin cuffs; floor length silk satin skirt gathered at natural waist; center back zipper closure; belt loops at side seams, but belt is missing.

    Worn by Audrey Ross. She was part of the Ross family who owned J. H. Collectibles.
  • Royal blue suede coat; Peter Pan collar; 7/8 length kimono sleeves; 4 large covered buttons at center front opening; two patch pockets on thighs; lined in black taffeta; knee length. Label missing.

    Based on the time period this was likely designed for Maurice Rentner Limited.

    Worn by the donor, Joan Urdan, who worked in the fashion industry in New York in the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s.
  • Fuchsia Irish linen day dress; round neckline; short sleeves; neckline and pockets have white button and bound buttonhole details; top-stitched extended bib into open pockets, sewn into side seams; center back invisible zipper closure; unlined; short length.
  • White lace Chanel style jacket; jewel neckline; hidden snap center front closure with 5 black braid buttons; long straight sleeves with 2 braid buttons at cuffs; 2 mock pockets with flap/button at bust; 2 single welt pockets with flap/button at hip; scalloped lace edging on all edges and pocket flaps.
  • Man's white muslin tuxedo shirt; wing collar; 10 tucks on front; French cuffs. A couple of buttons are missing.
  • Red silk charmeuse sheath evening gown; embellished in geometric woven designs in white and dark red and black and white bugle beads, Appliques of red and black velvet, jewel neckline, sleeveless, darts at waist, slight train at center back, center back zipper, ankle length, lined. From the Bill Blass Fall Ready-to-Wear line (for the fashion house Bill Blass Limited), designed by Swedish designer Lars Nilsson. This gown was the finale outfit of the runway show.
