  • Off-white silk crepe ensemble with bright pink sequin and silver caviar bead trim. A. Boxy jacket; jewel neckline; hook and eye center front closure; long straight sleeves. B. Pants; no waistband; pink sequin and bead pin-stripe down the outside side seam; beaded border up side seams at hemline; ankle length.
  • Off-white twill day coat; wide notched collar; center front opening with two hidden buttons; long one-piece set-in sleeves; no side seams; two front slash pockets on hips; half belt starting from front princess seam, studded with silver balls; belt is four inches wide; back has modified princess seam and center back seam; skirt back has two pleats; lined in white taffeta.

  • Off-white silk crinkle chiffon blouse printed with a very loose, sketchy, linear print of flowers and butterflies throughout; jewel neckline, short cap sleeves are cut in one with the bodice, peek-a-boo waist with bias binding and attached bias string tie, self-fabric second layer over bustline, open at center front, waist darts. French seams and hand finishing. Worn by Valentina.
  • Off-white silk bengaline bolero; jewel neckline; 3/4 set-in sleeves. Hip length, shoulder yoke. Woven fabric is heavily ribbed, lining is off-white silk taffeta. Worn by Valentina.
  • White linen muslin handkerchief with Hildegarde's signature embroidered in pink thread; eleven inches square. Owned by Hildegarde.
  • Off-white silk crepe and lace handkerchief; twenty-four inches square with 4.5 inch wide lace border. Owned by Hildegarde.
  • Off-white silk chiffon over silk evening gown with blue rose print; V-neckline in front, square neckline in back; square set-in sleeves. Worn with evening coat (Object ID #1983.239).

    Worn by Lynn Fontanne to receive a special Tony Award for Lifetime Achievement in 1970, although the gown was created much earlier. This gown was possibly made by Valentina, but has been significantly altered. Purchased at the auction of Lynn Fontanne's estate using funds from Mount Mary alumnae.

    Navy blue heavy wool twill ski pants; no separate waistband; side zipper; buttoned flap pockets in front; back waist has straps and buckles for adjustments; tight knitted cuffs at ankle; unlined.
