  • Blue linen day dress; jewel neckline with slit, ¾ length kimono sleeves, center front opening with white buttons to the hem (four buttons are missing), two patch pockets on bust, front and back yoke, knee length, unlined. White topstitching throughout. Marked "V. Schlee" at interior back neckline. Worn by Valentina.
  • White floral matelasse suit. A. Jacket; jewel neckline, ¾ length set-in sleeves, center front opening with three covered buttons, single flap vertical pockets are set into the waist darts, slits at the sides, lined in white silk crepe. B. Skirt; straight waistband with left front closure, pockets set into pleats on the princess line, straight silhouette, ankle length, lined in white china silk. Worn by Valentina.
  • Black flannel overcoat; jewel neckline with purple fox fur collar, center front opening with two large black buttons at neck and waist, long set-in sleeves with purple fox fur cuffs, unlined.
  • Red tartan plaid wool twill A-line skirt; waistband in red, yellow and black. Front of skirt has two box pleats behind which are pockets, skirt closes at center back with a zipper which has been altered at a later date by adding an inset of fabric at the zipper to increase size of the waist and hips, calf length, unlined.
  • Brown linen shift dress; jewel neckline with center front slit, eight button center front lap closure, front and back yoke, dolman sleeves, modified brown plastic buttons, two patch pockets at bust, straight skirt, midcalf length. White topstitching throughout. Worn by Valentina.
  • Beige with brown spatter print silk ensemble. A. Fit and flare dress; normal waist, halter neckline, center back nylon zipper. Halter has a front slit with a reverse, skirt is gathered. Unlined, knee length. B. A-line coat; jewel neckline, Chinese ball and loop center front closure, 3/4 length kimono sleeves, cut in one with the coat. Same length as dress, unlined. Possibly had longer sleeves at some point. C. Short bolero jacket; jewel neckline, 3/4 length kimono sleeves, cut in one with body of jacket. French darts, unlined. D. Wrap, single piece of fabric. E. Belt latches in back with hook and eyes and snap closure. Small, flat bow.

  • Sister Aloyse Hessburg, SSND, of Mount Mary College stands with the dress she designed, made, and fitted on Mrs. Frances Howard Robb (wife of James Robb), worn at the White House wedding of Mrs. Robb's son Charles Robb to Lynda Bird Johnson, daughter of President Lyndon B. Johnson, on December 9, 1967.

    The picture was likely taken at Mount Mary College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

  • Black wool skirt suit. A. Jacket; decorated with an under placket of fuchsia sequins in flame pattern around the neckline and front opening (some sequins missing). Collarless, snap and hook closures, purple sequin separate flower on the left chest, modified princess seams to create a small waist, pockets on hips set into the seams. B. Black wool straight skirt; straight waistband, center back zipper, front and left side hem has flame shape cut-outs of fuschia sequins (some sequins missing), knee length.   • Corset and skirt ensemble. A. Beige brocade corset; floral damask pattern, right side zipper closure, asymmetrical with tucks under left breast, external boning in front, asymmetrical point on right front at bottom. B. Brown chiffon skirt; made up of two fabrics- most of the skirt is a tan ground of abstract shapes in dark brown and reddish pink. The other fabric is pleated chiffon in khaki yellows of stripes. Used for a flounce on the hip and an underskirt; no waistband, center back zipper, many flounces and layers throughout, asymmetrical, ankle length, lined in tan chiffon.
