  • Ronald Amey, New York designer, stands with Dorothy Knowles (Mrs. Warren P. Knowles, wife of the newly re-elected Wisconsin governor Warren P. Knowles; née Guidry) and Sister John Francis (president of Mount Mary College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin). At the right is the inaugural gown that Amey designed for Mrs. Knowles to wear to her husband's inaugural ball in early 1967. After the ball, Mrs. Knowles presented the dress to Mount Mary College, at which time this picture was taken.

Johnson, on December 9, 1967.

Embellishment at center front from neck to hem. Sleeveless, scoop neckline in front, zipper closure in back, above knee length, straight silhouette, lined in brown taffeta.
