The dress is part of a theater suit with coat (Object ID #2022.05.01.b). This suit is an exact reproduction of a 1908 theater suit in the collection of the Wisconsin State Historical Society.
The exact date of the photograph is unknown but must have been 1974 or after. -

Maroon and white silk crocheted miser's purse; long and narrow; slit at center; missing rings to secure coins at either end; decorated with silver metal cut beads in floral pattern at larger maroon and white end; rows of beads at smaller solid red end; loops of beaded fringe at smaller end; interlaced beaded fringe at larger end; unlined; 13.5 inches long by 2.5 inches wide / 34.3mm x 6.3mm.

Missoni cocktail dress
Floral print chiffon cocktail dress; floral print is green, black, and dark gray on light gray ground. Layer of black tulle over chiffon, tulle decorated with large black sequins, black beads, white pearls, and clear rhinestones in an asymmetrical cluster at right hip. Scoop neckline in front; deep V-neckline in back, straight silhouette, sleeveless, many layers of black organza rectangular ‘petals’ on each shoulder, line of beading extends from right princess line to the hem in both front and back and around the hip, above knee length, side zipper and buttons closure.

In accepting the honor Ms. Lee traveled to Mount Mary and took part in commencement ceremonies, which resulted in a friendship between her and Sister John Francis Schuh, President of Mount Mary. -
