    This piece was attributed to Ann Lowe by the donor at the time of donation. There are no labels or markings. It is beautifully constructed, but other than the high quality and donor attribution, there is no other way to verify if this coat was in fact designed by Lowe.

  • Gold lamé evening gown; slim silhouette; one-shoulder with one tiny strap that holds left side in place; draped bodice; draped skirt with inserts of complementary teal blue silk chiffon; attached hip corsage of gold lamé and teal blue silk chiffon boned petals; back zipper closure; full evening length. Custom made for Hildegarde in New York City.
  • Silver lamé evening gown; plunging V-neckline; heavily padded shoulders; batwing sleeves, zippers at wrists; three open-ended darts at bustline; empire waistline with red beaded lace over cream netting, same trim on lower sleeves; center back zipper closure; inverted box pleat from waistline down; skirt slit below knee; rounded off hemline; front skirt has short overskirt with rounded edge; back skirt has godet at center back for flare, forming a train. Performance gown worn by Hildegarde.
