  • Child's blue pinstriped cotton dress; A-line; sleeveless; scoop neckline; white bands around neckline and armholes; 2 white and yellow daisy appliques at right shoulder, 1 at left, and 2 slightly left of center front; 2 snaps at shoulder; zipper closure at front left, snap below zipper; attached half belt in back with one button closure.

    This dress has features similar to Florence Eiseman's "Functional Fashions" line for children with disabilities from the early 1960s. It is unknown if this dress was officially part of that line or merely uses similar design elements.

    This dress is from Florence Eiseman's "Functional Fashions" line for children with disabilities from the early 1960s.
  • Child's multicolored Egyptian cotton broadcloth dress; white wale piqué base with various broadcloth "ribbon" stripes attached at bodice to float freely from waistline; ribbons are light pink, light yellow, light blue, light green, red, and royal blue; scoop neckline; empire waistline; sleeveless; red tie around waist; 3 button and 1 snap center back closure.
  • White, light blue, and light pink cotton poplin sheath dress; one-piece; print of abstract blue bamboo leaves with pink butterflies and dragonflies; high scoop neckline, edge-stitched and faced; side darts at bust; lapped metal zipper with hook and eye closure at center back; short set-in sleeves with double layer of gathered ruffles at bottom; mini length skirt with three inch hem; lined with muslin.

  • Pale blue jersey evening gown; decolette neckline; kimono sleeve gathered at top and bottom; gathered yoke at empire waist; gathered sash at deep V-neckline that hangs vertically; deep V-neckline in back; center back zipper.
  • White and blue printed silk crepe evening gown; large stylized chrysanthemum print; slim silhouette; cap sleeves; broad shoulders; cut-out section in bodice, held together by beige marquisette; draped skirt with slit; silk at shoulders has been repaired and lined. Custom made for Hildegarde and used as a performance gown in the Persian Room of the Plaza Hotel, New York City.
  • Off-white silk chiffon over silk evening gown with blue rose print; V-neckline in front, square neckline in back; square set-in sleeves. Worn with evening coat (Object ID #1983.239).

    Worn by Lynn Fontanne to receive a special Tony Award for Lifetime Achievement in 1970, although the gown was created much earlier. This gown was possibly made by Valentina, but has been significantly altered. Purchased at the auction of Lynn Fontanne's estate using funds from Mount Mary alumnae.

  • Metallic dark blue silk brocade evening gown; gold, silver, and red metallic border print at top of bodice and hemline; gold and silver circles throughout; A-line silhouette; jewel neckline; long set-in sleeves; slit to knee on right side.
  • Navy blue jersey and satin evening gown; fit and flare; mock turtleneck; long straight sleeves; jersey bodice; satin stripe skirt overprinted with roses; center back zipper closure; wrap-around skirt; accordion pleated ruffle down left side front opening and on bottom; navy blue satin attached ribbon belt with fabric rose at left side front; full length.
