The long sleeves were put back into the dress by the donor, Steven Stipelman. -

Light blue silk crepe scarf with yellow-green, blue, dark orange, and peach stripes; 71 inches long by 4 inches wide. Worn as an ensemble with blouse (Object ID #2009.11.57), skirt (Object ID #2009.11.58), and jacket (Object ID #2009.11.59).

This dress has features similar to Florence Eiseman's "Functional Fashions" line for children with disabilities from the early 1960s. It is unknown if this dress was officially part of that line or merely uses similar design elements. -
