Cape was likely attached to dress originally. -

B. Light aqua polka dot silk shantung over-blouse; boat neckline; short sleeves; 4 inch cutout vents in front with bias banding continuing around the back hem; neckline is bound to match; under arm zipper on left side. C. Light aqua polka dot silk shantung skirt; slim, straight silhouette; unpressed side pleat on either side; "hand-stitched" down center pleat; fabric is matched to create plain center panel; zipper on left side. -

White floral silk screened day dress; pattern is squares with wide range of colored stemmed flowers; rounded neckline in front; sleeveless; twenty and one-half inch long hand-overcast center back concealed zipper; straight silhouette; double inverted pleats on either side from waistline; plain white silk panel down center front and back. C. Narrow green silk belt; backed in leather; leather is brittle and has broken into three pieces; buckle with matching keepers. Exclusively for Bullocks Wilshire. Worn with coat (Object ID #2004.03.48.A) to form three piece ensemble. -

Black silk crepe evening gown; strapless; six white narrow vertical strips applied evenly along gown with white bows at top; strips run down dress below knee, flaring out with six godets; black sequin beading runs completely around white strips; corselet bodice understructure, back hook closures; center back zipper with hook and eye closures. Worn by Hildegarde for the first time in Milwaukee in 1948. -
