Ronald Amey, New York designer, stands with Dorothy Knowles (Mrs. Warren P. Knowles, wife of the newly re-elected Wisconsin governor Warren P. Knowles; née Guidry) and Sister John Francis (president of Mount Mary College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin). At the right is the inaugural gown that Amey designed for Mrs. Knowles to wear to her husband's inaugural ball in early 1967. After the ball, Mrs. Knowles presented the dress to Mount Mary College, at which time this picture was taken. -

This photograph appeared on page 44 of Arches 1968 (Mount Mary College's yearbook) with the following caption: "Cindy Gefke, Pat Day, Ellen Van Horn, and Sister M. Aloyse [Sister Aloyse Hessburg] listen attentively as Mr. Ronald Amey, New York designer, gives a critique on a budding designer’s sketch."
The exact date of the photograph is unknown, but Amey first visited Mount Mary College in 1965 and returned for student counseling sessions in 1966 (among possible other trips). -
