Silk chiffon Indian inspired paisley print gown; satin ribbon stripe woven in; warm toned; fit and flare silhouette; dropped waistline, follows line of paisley print; high neckline with trailing neck scarf; straight sleeves with zippers at wrists; gathered, full skirt; floor length; lined in nude silk chiffon. -
Handkerchief
Black chiffon and lace handkerchief; center is chiffon (12 inch square); 6.5 inch lace borders; 25 inch square. Probably used by Hildegarde in performance. -
Missoni cocktail dress
Floral print chiffon cocktail dress; floral print is green, black, and dark gray on light gray ground. Layer of black tulle over chiffon, tulle decorated with large black sequins, black beads, white pearls, and clear rhinestones in an asymmetrical cluster at right hip. Scoop neckline in front; deep V-neckline in back, straight silhouette, sleeveless, many layers of black organza rectangular ‘petals’ on each shoulder, line of beading extends from right princess line to the hem in both front and back and around the hip, above knee length, side zipper and buttons closure.
This item is from Fall/Winter 2008-2009. -

A. Gold silk blouse; horizontal rows of decorations of gold and silver embroidery, gold sequins, and gold beads. Wide scoop neckline, short cap sleeves, cropped top ends just below the bust, strands of gold beaded fringe at hem, back gold button closures, large single rhinestone, and loops. B. Sheer red printed silk chiffon bandeau bra; large floral design in yellow, green, blue, and white. Edged with red satin ribbon, unlined. C. Red chiffon miniskirt; fabric shot with gold threads printed in large floral motifs, no waistband, center back invisible zipper closure, lined in white taffeta.

Overdress for evening gown; straight silhouette, sleeveless, vertical strips of blue sequins and beads, blue tassels around the hips, blue ostrich feathers around the knees, zipper closure at center back, knee length, lined in blue crepe. B. Underdress for evening gown; straight silhouette, slip style, sleeveless, blue ostrich boa sewn in zig-zag around the hem, zipper closure at center back, floor length, lined in blue crepe. Worn with stole (Object ID #2013.04.12.C). -

Turquoise chiffon and satin striped cocoon style jacket; thin gold stripe fabric; fabric gathered into neck edge and wrist edges; edges bound with turquoise satin; button and loop closures at wrists; not lined; couture techniques throughout.
