Two piece suit
Light brown British wool crepe suit. A. Jacket; long and fitted; notched collar; deep squared yoke in front; deep "V" yoke in back; two large oval-shaped "cameo" buttons and wide bound buttonholes on front yoke; four small self-bound buttons and bound buttonholes below; long set-in sleeves with slit cuffs; lined in beige silk. B. Skirt; very slim; seaming forms "V" at center back; inverted pleat near hem; seven inch long hand-overcast zipper on left side. -
Christian LaCroix ensemble
Corset and skirt ensemble. A. Beige brocade corset; floral damask pattern, right side zipper closure, asymmetrical with tucks under left breast, external boning in front, asymmetrical point on right front at bottom. B. Brown chiffon skirt; made up of two fabrics- most of the skirt is a tan ground of abstract shapes in dark brown and reddish pink. The other fabric is pleated chiffon in khaki yellows of stripes. Used for a flounce on the hip and an underskirt; no waistband, center back zipper, many flounces and layers throughout, asymmetrical, ankle length, lined in tan chiffon.

Christian LaCroix evening gown
Lace gown; bodice of gold lame lace, purple crinkled taffeta straps, bow at center front under bodice, empire waistline, skirt of brown floral lace with green and orange flower clusters, slim skirt has princess seaming and short train in back, invisible zipper at center back.

Off-white wool plaid jacket; plaid in off-white, brown, and yellow; roll collar; long set-in sleeves; front opening with snap closures; three trios of gold buttons at center front; two patch pockets on hips; hip length; lined in beige silk shantung.

Reddish brown plain weave cotton dress; deep V-neckline; shawl collar; empire waistline; mid-calf length; elbow length kimono sleeves; French darts; flare skirt; waist dips to deep V in back. Donor let down hem.
Purchased and worn by the donor, Nancy Smart, to wear to her engagement parties in 1948. -

A. Brown wool tweed suit jacket; collarless; bias cut; shallow V-neckline; long dolman sleeves; double-breasted with gold metal dome buttons/slanted buttonholes. B. Brown wool tweed suit skirt; straightline; horizontal buttonhole pockets. C. Orange silk shantung blouse; brass ball button closure; convertible collar; self-fabric tie stitched along front shoulder; long straight sleeves on slanted armhole. -

Dark brown and orange plaid wool twill dress; jewel collar; semi-fitted bodice with below-bust shirring; long dolman sleeves; single-breasted; 3 black domed buttons and tie at bust; gathering at midriff yoke; flared skirt with side zipper closure; mid-calf length. -

Camel colored wool melton boxy jacket; jewel collar; single-breasted with 5 camel colored plastic button closure down center; double welt slash pockets; top-stitching around collar, armscyes, and cuffs; long sleeves; lined in striped tie silk; hip length. -
