Lavender and gold lace skirt; straight silhouette, straight waistband with invisible zipper, lined in beige tulle.

  • Multicolor wool tweed ensemble; fabric is loosely woven in stripes of orange, black, gold, and pink alternating with black and gold. A. Jacket; standing collar edged with tan suede; two tie closures in suede; bottom of jacket is sewn up; long sleeves have square sleeve caps; gores in jacket create A-line shape; all edges finished with brown suede. B. Skirt; gathered front; side zipper closure; knee length.
  • B. Black wool jersey mock wrap-around skirt; straight; full evening length. C. Black wool jersey blouse; woven abstract pattern in gold, silver, and black lurex; center front button closure with five faceted glass buttons; convertible collar; bishop sleeves.

Sheer red printed silk chiffon bandeau bra; large floral design in yellow, green, blue, and white. Edged with red satin ribbon, unlined. C. Red chiffon miniskirt; fabric shot with gold threads printed in large floral motifs, no waistband, center back invisible zipper closure, lined in white taffeta.

Johnson and Lady Bird Johnson, at the White House, December 9, 1967. Designed by Sister Aloyse Hessburg.
