  • Child's light blue and white vertical striped dress; A-line; sleeveless; scoop neckline; center front appliqué of tree with green leaves and brunette child wearing a red dress and holding an apple; 1 button and snap at each shoulder and under each armpit; label reads "Florence Eiseman designed for Marshall Field & Company".

    This dress is from Florence Eiseman's "Functional Fashions" line for children with disabilities from the early 1960s.
  • Warp print white taffeta gown with pattern of bouquets of light blue roses with green leaves, rosebuds scattered about. A. Halter top bodice; jewel neckline with center front slit, low back with a long center back zipper. Lined in slubby silk plain weave. B. Long skirt; gathered into straight waistband, side inseam pockets, ankle length, unlined, hand finished. Worn by Valentina.

    Worn with stole (Object ID #1995.379.C) to form three piece ensemble.
  • Unbleached muslin banner; repeating silk screen pattern with black ink; design is the name "Charles Kleibacker" in a "jigsaw puzzle piece" arrangement; 37.25 inches wide by 103 inches long.

  • White silk twill blouse; red cherry print; jewel neckline. Worn with jacket (Object ID #1997.154.A) and skirt (Object ID #1997.154.B) to form three piece suit.
  • White crepe blouse; convertible collar; center front opening, 3 white shell buttons and 2 snaps; bishop sleeves, 2 buttons at cuffs; lined in same fabric; hip length.

Light aqua polka dot silk shantung over-blouse; boat neckline; short sleeves; 4 inch cutout vents in front with bias banding continuing around the back hem; neckline is bound to match; under arm zipper on left side. C. Light aqua polka dot silk shantung skirt; slim, straight silhouette; unpressed side pleat on either side; "hand-stitched" down center pleat; fabric is matched to create plain center panel; zipper on left side.

    Worn with jacket (Object ID #2004.03.498.A) to form three piece suit.
  • White heavily ribbed silk bengaline bolero jacket; jewel neckline, shoulder yoke, ¾ length set-in sleeves, center front opening with no closures, hip length, extra piece under the arms, unlined except for a piece of muslin across the shoulders. Worn by Valentina.
  • Child's pale blue and white striped ribbed cotton cap; turned-up edge; embroidery of cars, helicopters, and trains around edge.

  • White curly lambswool cape; stand-up collar; fully lined with tie-dyed silk satin; skin is detaching from lining; several small tears throughout.

    Designed by Cindy Gefke, member of Mount Mary's first Fashion design graduating class in 1969. The coat was purchased by Judy Klemensrud of the New York Times, who gave it to her friend, donor Aileen Ryan.
  • Brown and white wool tweed cape; large, rounded notched collar; three button closure; slits on princess line for arms; lined in brown silk; mid-calf length. Worn with jacket (Object ID #2009.11.34.a) and skirt (Object ID #2009.11.34.b).

  • Black and white twill cape; high funnel neck; black shoulder yoke forms squared-off "V" to bust; eight covered ball button and loop closure; circular shape to knees; area in back has white ground with black squares, remainder of garment is black with line across front; unlined except at shoulders. Probably worn with dress (Object ID #2004.03.664).

  • Child's white cotton piqué circle bib; hand-embroidered with lady bugs holding clover umbrellas.
  • White and black printed silk gazar dress; pattern of white ground printed with black balls 2 ½ inches in diameter connected by thin bars, narrow straps at front, deep v-neckline, spaghetti straps in back, additional tie extending from bust, midriff yoke decorated with five medallions of beads at front, skirt has stitched down pleats at the waist, two rows of fabric near hem stitched on intermittently, center back zipper, knee length, lined in white china silk. Worn with matching jacket (Object ID #2013.04.20.B). This item is from Christian LaCroix Spring 2007 Ready-to-Wear collection.
