Child's blue and white striped seersucker right shoe; rounded toe; white laces; hard sole; yellow and white striped toe. Worn with sunsuit (Object ID #2022.04.25.a) and hat (Object ID #2022.04.25.b). Likely there is only one shoe because this outfit was kept by the company as a sample. -

A. Black brushed silk overdress; 3/4 length sleeves; ivory organza cuffs; empire bodice; open at back with deep V; black satin bow with streamers; uneven hemline; small hole in front skirt. B. Black brushed silk underdress; back is brushed silk, front is taffeta; sleeveless taffeta bodice. C. Ivory organza blouse; worn backwards to fill in "V" of overdress; ruffled neckline and sleeve cuffs; snap and hook and eye closures. Ensemble was worn with cape (Object ID #1983.212).
Worn by Lynn Fontanne. Made by Lynn Fontanne using a Jacques Griffe Vogue pattern, which she reworked to give the overdress a deep V back. The ensemble was originally worn with a white ruffled dickey. Donor was the niece of Lynn Fontanne and Alfred Lunt -

Gown
Navy blue and pink paisley silk chiffon gown; made of sari fabric; bodice constructed in criss-cross style; raglan sleeves flow from front and back panels that are attached at neck edge; back tie belt.
Designed and sewn by Lynn Fontanne in 1965 using fabric from an Indian sari purchased at a London antique store. Worn by Lynn during an interview on PBS in 1980, and in the photograph linked below, "Lynn Fontanne with Cole Leslie and Alfred Lunt." Donor was the niece of Lynn Fontanne and Alfred Lunt. -
Dress
Black wool double knit dress; A-line skirt hangs from yoke/sleeve piece; center front slit with one covered button closure; knee length. Worn with hat (Object ID #1982.309). Worn by Hildegarde. -
Hat
Black straw hat; faux pearl hat pin with rhinestones; 5 1/2 inch deep crown, five inch brim, 3 1/2 inch grosgrain cummerbund-style band. Worn with dress (Object ID #1982.308). Worn by Hildegarde. -
Evening gown
Pale gray satin evening gown; spaghetti straps covered in bar and round rhinestones; princess seams; high waistline; covered button and loop closure in back; trained A-line skirt, backed in white organza; couture techniques with hand-finishing.
Created by Kelly Frohrib in Sister Aloyse Hessburg's couture class, but never picked up. -

Navy blue silk crepe dress with white stripes; jewel neckline; bodice cut on the bias; bodice has navy lining; white domed button closures up center back; seam at natural waistline; long set-in sleeves with shoulder pads; three buttons at back sleeve cuffs; pleated skirt; mid-calf length; double folded hem at bottom. B. White leather belt; oval-shaped white buckle with navy blue edging; "Galanos" printed inside.
