  • Turquoise, rust red, and lavender striped raw silk brocade jacket; brocade has paisley motifs; standing collar edged with beige silk; center front opening with no closures; padded shoulders; long set-in sleeves with turned-back cuffs; modified princess seam in back; lined in pale yellow silk; hip length. Worn as an ensemble with blouse (Object ID #2009.11.57), skirt (Object ID #2009.11.58), and scarf (Object ID #2009.11.60).

  • White lace Chanel style jacket; jewel neckline; hidden snap center front closure with 5 black braid buttons; long straight sleeves with 2 braid buttons at cuffs; 2 mock pockets with flap/button at bust; 2 single welt pockets with flap/button at hip; scalloped lace edging on all edges and pocket flaps.
  • Black silk satin jacket; narrow printed gold vertical stripe; quilted with gold thread in vertical stripes; funnel neckline; long set-in sleeves, turned-back cuffs with gold lamé lining; triple columns of buttons on front; single welt front pockets; lined in gold lamé fabric with horizontal stripes of black and gold; lower hip length.

  • Red and black plaid plain weave mohair jacket; checks are two inches square; jewel neckline; cardigan style; single-breasted but with two horizontal rows of three buttons each; buttons are large black plastic; flap pockets on hips; long set-in sleeves; all edges finished in black binding; hip length; lined in red/black check silk, could be reversible.

  • Black fine wool twill suit jacket; funnel neckline; triple breasted; six black plastic button closure; princess seams released at hip in front and back; flap pocket; long set-in sleeves; not lined.
  • Navy blue and white plaid wool suit. A. Jacket; boxy; mandarin collar; 3 large navy blue buttons down front; two single welt pockets set on angle; long straight set-in sleeves; bands with one button on bottom of sleeves; back gathers into shoulder yoke; unlined. B. Skirt; straight silhouette; raised waistline; side seam zipper closure; knee length. With the slacks (Object ID #1999.276.c) these pieces form a three piece ensemble, though not all three pieces would be worn simultaneously.
  • Navy blue and white plaid wool suit. A. Jacket; boxy; mandarin collar; 3 large navy blue buttons down front; two single welt pockets set on angle; long straight set-in sleeves; bands with one button on bottom of sleeves; back gathers into shoulder yoke; unlined. C. Slacks; raised waistline; tapered legs. With the skirt (Object ID #1999.276.b) these pieces form a three piece ensemble, though not all three pieces would be worn simultaneously.
  • C. Orange silk shantung blouse; brass ball button closure; convertible collar; self-fabric tie stitched along front shoulder; long straight sleeves on slanted armhole.
  • One shoulder purple velvet and taffeta gown; shoulder strap on left, built-in corset of black mesh, taffeta over-drape covering the bust and creating a large skirt to the right side, taffeta drape lined in clear polyester mesh to stiffen, left side zipper, bow on shoulder and on right side of skirt at the hip, ankle length. Line across the skirt where it probably draped across a hanger.
  • B. Beige wool gabardine jodhpurs.

    Worn with jacket (Object ID #1986.155.a) to form two piece riding ensemble.
