Invoice from A. Werner
An invoice from A. Werner - Silversmiths and Electro Platers listing items purchased by Sister Aloyse Hessburg for the mother-of-the-groom dress she designed and created for Mrs. Frances Howard Robb, for the wedding of her son Charles Robb to Lynda Bird Johnson, daughter of President Lyndon B. Johnson, at the White House on December 9, 1967.
This invoice refers to the 4 buttons for the dress that Sister Rosemarita Huebner created. The invoice is dated 11/24 (1967) and according to Sister Aloyse's notes, the buttons were ready by 11/28. -
Evening gown
A. Mauve silk charmeuse evening gown; trimmed in burgundy silk velvet at neckline and armscyes; plunging neckline at front and back; sleeveless; bias cut; mermaid silhouette; unlined; ankle length. B. Burgundy velvet belt; lined with mauve silk charmeuse; ties at side.
According to Sister Aloyse Hessburg, this gown is a copy of the bronze gown by Chauvel (2012.01.51.AB). This gown is attributed to "Cafe de Paris in London by Ilene Adair." -
Shoes
Burgundy cotton twill and suede pumps; cotton twill upper and suede toe; asymmetrical; decorated with black patent leather strap and strips of white and burgundy fabric ribbon; 2.5 inch black patent Spanish heel.

A. Navy blue, red, and white wool/rayon knit cardigan sweater; diamond and stripe pattern; gold lion head buttons. B. Navy blue wool/rayon knit skirt; elastic waistband; knit-in godets.
