Evening gown
Red silk lamé evening gown with gold and silver flecks; straight silhouette; square neckline; elbow-length sleeves; shoulder pads; left side zipper; ankle length; dress has stripe effect through the manipulation of the fabric, stripes appear vertical on bodice and horizontal on skirt. -
Two piece suit
Khaki and orange wool twill suit. A. Jacket; semi-fitted; upper collar is khaki, wool epaulets are orange; epaulets have silver buttons and bound buttonholes; six silver buttons down front with bound buttonholes; set-in long sleeves; 1.5 inch wide self-fabric belt with leather backing; four keepers and squared silver ball and bar buckle; lined in orange china silk. B. Skirt; A-line; straight waistband; softly gathered panels; front panel of khaki; slit open almost to waistband at center front, creating the look of a center pleat; hand-overcast center back zipper; underskirt has khaki wool front and khaki silk taffeta back; knee length.

Yellow and white floral silk chiffon dinner dress; "U" neckline in front, plunges deeper in back; hanging sleeves in back that become bell sleeves at shoulder; attached straight beige slip underneath, attached at waist; sleeveless slip with lingerie straps; concealed back zipper, hook and eyes, and snap closures; flared skirt; knee length. -
Evening gown
Gold lamé gown; wide round neckline, bound in wide bias-cut banding; sleeveless; bust darts; raised waistline; attached self-fabric belt dips down in back; long center concealed zipper; paneled bias-cut long skirt; underlined bodice; attached slip with lingerie straps in soft beige crepe. Worn with matching shawl (Object ID #2004.03.28.B). -

A. Gold lamé gown; wide round neckline, bound in wide bias-cut banding; sleeveless; bust darts; raised waistline; attached self-fabric belt dips down in back; long center concealed zipper; paneled bias-cut long skirt; underlined bodice; attached slip with lingerie straps in soft beige crepe. B. Long gold lamé shawl; long hand-knotted beige silk fringe bound in gold metallic thread. -

Coral pink silk chiffon over silk crepe evening gown; strapless; chiffon at bodice pleated diagonally; high waist at front, curving below waist at back; slight train; floating floor length scarf panel attached vertically along center back. Exclusively for Bullocks Wilshire. -

Beige silk chiffon evening gown; large keyhole opening at front; hand-rolled edges; one covered button closure at neck; opening reveals lace bodice; long slender souffle sleeves, edged in lace; hook and eye at wrist; intricate drapery twisted in center front, continuing in short cascade over left side; crepe floor length skirt. -

Blue and white tiny checked wool suit. A. Jacket; long; fitted silhouette; cut-out and bias-banded shawl collar; matching flaps in yoke area; set-in long sleeves, narrow turned-back cuffs; shaped panels; seven small self-covered buttons and bound buttonholes; matched cut-out shaping with banding on lower edge; straight across back hem length. B. Straight skirt; bias-bound slashed side pockets; stitched-down tucks and darts; left side zipper. -

Off-white floral silk shantung day dress; pattern is varying shades of yellow, gold, and brown chrysanthemums and gray leaves; beige Peter Pan collar; tie at neck; short kimono sleeves with cuffs; seam at waistline connects bodice and skirt; skirt has tuck on front princess line to imitate pockets; front zipper closure covered with placket; knee length; unlined. -
Cocktail dress
Black silk brocade cocktail dress; stemmed rose and leaf motif; Bateau neckline dipping to low "V" in back; 17" long concealed center back zipper, hand-overcast; dolman sleeves with deep gussets; princess style; dropped waistline; self-draping on hip gathered into arch at center front; large self-bow at center back with long pointed and lined streamers; center back slit for ease in walking. -

Pale blue jersey evening gown; decolette neckline; kimono sleeve gathered at top and bottom; gathered yoke at empire waist; gathered sash at deep V-neckline that hangs vertically; deep V-neckline in back; center back zipper. -

Fitted jacket; collar has zig-zag edges on front; button-front with many small buttons; button detail on front and back of sleeve; seven plastic buttons at center front; three buttons on plackets on each breast; one button on tab on long sleeves; back has two plackets with three buttons each; center back vent. B. Skirt; slim and straight; deep vent at center back; mid-calf length. -

Light brown silk shantung day dress; square neckline with self-facing on exterior; tabbed with one large light brown button and bound buttonhole; smaller buttons and bound buttonholes below; vertical darts pulled together at waistline front and back with buttoned tab; two-piece raglan sleeves with gussets, turned-back cuffs; straight slim silhouette; deep kick pleat at center back for ease in walking; hand-picked in white silk. Label "Irene" script on silk. Exclusively for Neiman-Marcus Dallas. -

Black wool flannel dress; black ground with narrow white stripes; wide notched collar; self bias binding around collar and down side of front; double breasted; four black buttons and bound buttonholes continuing around waistline; set-in 3/4 length sleeves with turned-up cuffs; slim skirt with tucks and vertical bound pockets; 7 1/2 inch long center seam slit for ease in walking; center back seam. Missing a button. Presented in the fall of 1950. -

Black wool tweed late day dress; wrapped and buttoned midriff; long, narrow sleeves. -

Red silk shantung suit jacket; long, fitted; notched collar; three-quarter length sleeves ending in slits; five enameled "heraldic shield" motif buttons with bound buttonholes; single welt pocket flaps on hip; five inch long center vent; single welt breast pocket; lined in off-white silk. B. White silk shantung suit skirt; bias-cut; four-gore; side zipper closure; mid-calf length; unlined. Large yellowish stains. -
