Red and gray multicolored print panne velvet shirtwaist dress; pattern imitates Persian rug; notched collar; 5 black satin-covered domed button center front closures; 2 patch cargo pockets at waistline; all edges bound with black satin binding; cuffed sleeves; straight, knee length skirt; fully lined.
The dress is open to show an interesting semi-double breasted closure. -
Evening gown
A. Green and white gingham cotton and tulle evening gown; decorated with appliqués; shirtwaist style; natural waistline; V-shaped neckline; bodice of tulle over cotton gingham bandeau; buttons down back with 13 ball buttons and loops to within 5 inches of waist; long shirt sleeves, gather to narrow cuffs; sleeves are a combination of gingham and tulle; gathered skirt; full length; overskirt of printed tulle. B. Pink, yellow, and green grosgrain ribbon belt; 5/8 inch wide.
This garment is from Spring 1971. -

Off-white 4-ply silk crepe day dress; Peter Pan collar; long bishop sleeves with cuffs; center front strip of smocking from collar to hem; waistline seam; center back square covered buttons; gathered skirt; lined with white China silk; knee length.

A. Black silk broadcloth dress with bamboo print; full center front insert with horizontal tucking; long sleeves with bamboo-look button on cuffs; 5 bamboo-look button closures down center back with loops. B. Leather belt covered with matching fabric; 2 inch wide fabric buckle. -

White organdy blouse; high neckline; multicolored floral embroidery; bishop sleeves with cuff; satin bow at front yoke; red satin decorative buttons. B. Black velvet skirt; pinafore style; multicolored floral embroidery at bottom; mid-length; attached to blouse with several anchoring threads at waist.

Two piece ensemble
A. Gray and lavender jersey dress; bodice is lavender, skirt is gray; lavender decorative pattern; center back zipper closure; two front pleats; attached lavender belt stitched onto dress top; lavender lining. B. Gray and lavender jersey jacket; long sleeves; no closures; jacket is mainly gray with lavender decorative pattern.
Ensemble was designed for Charlotte Moore when she performed in "Holiday" on Broadway (she was nominated for the Tony award in 1974). -
Dress without jacket
A. Gray and lavender jersey dress; bodice is lavender, skirt is gray; lavender decorative pattern; center back zipper closure; two front pleats; attached lavender belt stitched onto dress top; lavender lining.
Worn with jacket (Object ID #2005.12.02.b) to form two piece ensemble.

The black lace has been cut to tunic level - this probably isn't original since there is no hem. -
Underdress with overdress pulled up
