  • Pink sequined evening gown; empire style; standing collar; short sleeves; full evening length; attached wide pink satin belt under bust; "Mermaid", completely hand-sequined.
  • Lace gown; bodice of gold lame lace, purple crinkled taffeta straps, bow at center front under bodice, empire waistline, skirt of brown floral lace with green and orange flower clusters, slim skirt has princess seaming and short train in back, invisible zipper at center back.

    This item is from Fall/Winter 1995-1996.
  • White polyester crepe evening gown; jewel neckline; short kimono cap sleeves; draped in front to center of midriff; scalloped oval appliqué in center of midriff; center of appliqué decorated with clear and silver bugle beads and large rhinestone pin; waistline rises in front, falls in back; darting at back bodice; hand-picked zipper; straight skirt; slit at back hem; ankle length; lined in white polyester. Zipper teeth have given out.

    Made by Sister Aloyse Hessburg for her Master's project at Drexel University in 1965.

  • A. Light pink silk chiffon evening gown; fit and flare; natural waistline; two belt loops; halter neckline with attached bias scarf; sleeveless; very full gathered skirt; full evening length. B. Light pink silk underdress; fit and flare skirt; strapless; camisole bodice; full evening length. This evening gown could be styled many ways. This item was created by Norman Norell for Traina-Norell fashion house.

  • Long off-white silk organdy evening gown with floral embroidery in shades of yellow-gold, bronze, and off-white. Empire style folded yellow-gold silk taffeta attached belt, ending in long and wide shaped floats at top of center back zipper; floats can be worn as train or tied as sash.

Evening gown; strapless; interior bodice built over a strapless, longline bra; asymmetrical front; straight skirt; ankle length; multiple pleats at kick vent. Worn with wrap (Object ID #1997.237.B).
  • C. Black silk evening coat; brown fur cuffs; red silk taffeta lining is made of the dress fabric; no closures; label: "Rosalie Macrini"; mid-calf length. Worn with dress (2003.03.11.a) and stole (2003.03.11.b) to form a three piece ensemble.

    The ensemble was created on designer Rosalie Macrini's receipt of an award from Mount Mary College in the late 1960s.

Red silk taffeta evening gown with silk-screened palmetto frond design; motifs outlined in black beads on bodice; large circles on stem separated by 4 leaves on front skirt; square neckline; short sleeves; empire waistline; A-line skirt has inverted box pleat at center front, 2 pleats at back; black satin ribbon attached at waistline; center back zipper closure; internal corset; lined in red rayon. Worn with stole (2003.03.11.b) and coat (2003.03.11.c) to form a three piece ensemble.
