Multicolored paisley jacquard wool shawl; predominantly red with green, yellow gold, light blue, and black; 8 inch by 8 inch black center; two sides have black fringe; 71 inches by 72 inches.
From donor's maternal great grandmother, Mrs. Wayne Sawyer, who was part of the Crafts family from Vermont. Shawl was manufactured in Paisley, Scotland and imported by Lewis Jones, importer of fine shawls. First owner of the shawl was Mrs. Chapman Crafts.

Blouse; bateau neckline; puffed sleeves with interior heading; uneven hemline, pulled up and pleated at left side hip revealing left leg; lined with China silk. B. Skirt; inverted pleats at center front knee level to floor; full evening length; elastic waist; unlined. -

B. Skirt; very slim; bias bound slash pockets and slim skirt with bias bound slash pockets; zipper on left side. C. Putty colored silk jacquard vest; pattern of gray, beige, and brown leaves; shawl collar; seven self-covered buttons and bound buttonholes; fitted; pointed center front; watch pocket on right side; back is plain putty colored silk, underlined in matching silk; half belt with pewter colored metal buckle. Worn with coat (Object ID #2004.03.368.A) to form three piece suit. -

Gray British worsted wool suit. A. Jacket; long and fitted; notched collar; long revers; set-in long sleeves, self-button closure at cuffs; set-in pointed front lapels; three graduated-size self-covered buttons; center front hem has seven inch long cut-away to reveal vest underneath; seven inch long center back vent; lined in beige silk crepe. Inspired by an eighteenth century gentleman's frock coat. B. Skirt; very slim; bias bound slash pockets and slim skirt with bias bound slash pockets; zipper on left side. C. Putty colored silk jacquard vest; pattern of gray, beige, and brown leaves; shawl collar; seven self-covered buttons and bound buttonholes; fitted; pointed center front; watch pocket on right side; back is plain putty colored silk, underlined in matching silk; half belt with pewter colored metal buckle. -

Dark yellow jacquard brocade skirt; fabric is diamond design; inverted pleats into straight waistband of skirt; center back closure has bustle effect; mid-calf length; lined with silk organza. -
